Garden Clubs
Manitoba has a large number of garden clubs and other gardening-related organizations, many of which are listed below. Although the MMGA is not directly affiliated with them, our Master Gardeners and Master Gardener Interns often serve in various volunteer roles in these organizations as part of their MG duties.
Agassiz Garden Club (Lac du Bonnet, MB)
The club meets during the months of January to June and September to December, usually on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. During the winter months, meetings are scheduled for afternoons. Club meetings are held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 253 McArthur Ave. For specific times and information contact Ruth Monych (204) 345-8696, or Carol (204) 345-8419.
Arborg (Communities in Bloom)
Although the town of Arborg does not have an active club, it has a dedicated group of community volunteers working under the guidance Tom Chwaliboga. When a project is decided upon, there is a community call out and volunteers take on the project with financial support from the town. Arborg has has successfully competed and won in consecutive “Communities in Bloom” events. Beausejour Daylily Gardens
In person meetings are generally on the 3rd Monday of the month at 1:00 pm.

St. James Horticultural Society (The Garden Club)
Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday in the months of October, November, January, February, March and April at 7:30 pm at St. James Lutheran Church (871 Cavalier, Winnipeg.
The flower arranging group meets on the first Wednesday of the month in September – December and April – June at E-1885 Portage Avenue.
There are 226 private garden plots for members operated by the Society on behalf of the City of Winnipeg.

Transcona Garden Club

Transcona Flower Arrangers: meet the 2nd Friday of the month at the same location as club meetings from 1 pm to 3 pm. The Transcona Garden Club fee of $20.00 is required to attend Flower Arrangers meetings.
